The Monashee had a formal christening with a Champagne bath when she was launched.

On August 22, the Monashee was truly christened at Sea.  It was my wife Kathy's Birthday, we had a limit of King Salmon on board by 11:00am after sleeping in till 7:30am.  And in the afternoon, we saw a pod of Orcas with daughter Kerry and her 6 month old daughter Skye and her 5 year old son Kylan.  It was truly a great day and the Monashee with all of her comforts made it tremendous, even though it rained all day.
